no he's talking about another Tim who's car was stolen at Columbia mall yesterday.
strangely enough, my car was stolen lastnight as well from in front of my apartment building. My second car stolen from the exact same spot in less than 3 months...

Re: (groundzerocivic)
we found mine! it was literally right around the corner from my apartment. it took us 12 hours to find it, and the only thing wrong with it is the ignition is busted. they couldn't start it because of my kill, so they pushed it around the corner and dumped it after failing to start it.
i was thinking though.. a bunch of us should team up on a car.. put it together, equip it with lo-jack and leave it out as bait and then get these motherfukcers tracked down and busted. anyone interested? it wouldnt take much money if a bunch of us teamed up

Re: (na+b18c_hatch)
Honestly i really don't for many reasons.
1. I have heard way too many stories about them not finding jack. Here is a recent local car that has still not been recovered https://honda-tech.com/zerothread/2368330
Not using that citing as my only basis but Ive heard a lot of stories similar to that.
2.Scenario 1: Car is stolen at 3am while you sleep, by the time you wake up, its already stripped and dumped. By the time lo-jack is called its way too late.
Scenario 2: Steal your car at say 5pm like Tim's. They park it at X location. If it has lo-jack this is a time that would work well. If you dont, they know this by now and do the usual late night strip, early morning drop.
3.Lo-jack is only going to work as well as the people looking for it. If you want to bait a car, you need to track it yourself.

The problem here is its not just a few people making a living off of stolen parts. Its HUGE amounts of people. And its pretty well known that most of the thefts are MS-13 related
