Default HID Wiring Issues. Help!

Hey guys, just bought a set of FX35 hid projectors without the ballast. These came with the factory cable with a yellow, orange, and brown wire. I noticed a few resistors at the end of the connector where it plugs into the D2S bulb. I'm not sure how to decifer what cable needs to be connected to my hella ballast. On the hella ballast, I have a red and black wire. I've tried numerous combinations and the bulbs will not light up. All I hear is serveral clicking noises, which sound like it's trying to charge up. I tested the bulb on my phillips ballast and it seems to be working fine. FYI, the phillips ballast connects directly to the FX35 projector without the factory FX35 wire. Since my hella does not have the D2S connector I had to hard wire it.

Question, would I need a relay/resistor box to connect this between the hella and the projectors?
