Where to put HID Ballast? 99' LX.
was going to put them in my fender to hide them, but wasn't 100% sure if they would be safe from water and other weather, so i used a bracket they came with and mounted them to the inside of my frame rails
If your ballasts are slim enough, you can slide them under the headlights for the to be hidden. Haven't had a problem with mine mounted there for the past 1.5 years.
Well I can't see **** with my halogens. And my headlights are clean.
I guess I can try to put them under the headlights.
Well does it depend on the alignment if my lights are too bright?

i just tucked mine into the fender
lol nice ive been thinking about picking up some Mini H1's from a web site i found just don't know what ballast to use. Sorry to thread jack. I would think you could mount it anywhere that there is enough space just make sure to check the other side of whatever your mounting it to.

(Btw, the information is wrong where he says you need to remove the fender to remove the headlight!)
I had WAY more then enough room to mount them in the bay.
I only went under the bumper becuase I don't want to see the ballasts.
you can put you ballasts anywhere. take off your bumper and hide it somewhere.
retrofit projectors look ugly. just a waste of money. i never got pulled over for my hids. never had a problem.
