was going to put them in my fender to hide them, but wasn't 100% sure if they would be safe from water and other weather, so i used a bracket they came with and mounted them to the inside of my frame rails

If your ballasts are slim enough, you can slide them under the headlights for the to be hidden. Haven't had a problem with mine mounted there for the past 1.5 years.

Well I can't see **** with my halogens. And my headlights are clean.

I guess I can try to put them under the headlights.

Well does it depend on the alignment if my lights are too bright?

hid's wont help anything u'll think its brighter because theres going to be light dispersed all over the road which is bad and will get u a ticket get some OSRAM Nightbreakers or some phillips Xtreme or Sylvannia 4300k Bulbs its like 49 a bulb but u wont blind the sh*t out of people

and you need to adjust your headlights if you can't see anything

i couldn't see anything with hallogens than i adjusted them and i was able to see everything with Phillips Xtreme bulbs but than i got these ebay headlights for free and i had some M3 projectors so i put them into the ebay headlights and i have a proper HID Retrofit not some 10 dollar ebay bs that will melt your harness

yes please, some of us like to be able to still be able to see after you've gone past instead of being blinded.

Swap to a '96-'98 Civic front end. I've had my '98 Civic for 9 years and never had an issue with light output.

Do you have factory oem light housings or aftermarket? Aftermarket ones the light disbursement is not the best.

Black housing headlights do not look like Civic Type R headlights.

You've obviously have never seen a CTR up close or had the chance to own nice parts... the painted housings on stock headlights look like ebay headlights

and if you get a sh*tty kit yes there is a high possibility that it will destroy your harness happened to this kid at the car meet i was at a month ago

i have a HID kit retrofit from an M3 meaning projectors and The kit and i made myself a harness so i can make it plug and play without any splices

and the best part is i don't blind anyone on the road!!!

Behind my front bumper, attached to the headlight bracket on the brace.

All the wires were tucked away, and hidden.

lol nice ive been thinking about picking up some Mini H1's from a web site i found just don't know what ballast to use. Sorry to thread jack. I would think you could mount it anywhere that there is enough space just make sure to check the other side of whatever your mounting it to.

Here's pics of a '96-'98 (all I could find, but should be similar enough) with the front bumper and fender removed. So you can see about how much room you might have there.

https://honda-tech.com/forums/showpo...62&postcount=3

(Btw, the information is wrong where he says you need to remove the fender to remove the headlight!)

I had WAY more then enough room to mount them in the bay.

I only went under the bumper becuase I don't want to see the ballasts.
