Same bulb, same basic thing.
My housings are just larger, and I don't have all those little lines on mine.

Paid 76, with 2 day shipping.
Half what my old kit cost.

Would the 55w kit in stock housing cause a glare?

Yes, even more so than a 35w kit.

Yes, they do, the 55w kit IS brighter. But it also throws a lot more glare then the 35w kit would and does.

A couple kids around where I live have 55w kit's. The glare is unberiable. It makes me want to smash the headlights with a hammer, and smack them for doing it.

I personaly cannot comment on the 55w kit, because I dont have it, nor do I know any one with it.

Yes, they are illegal. I haven't had any problems with mine.

Generally, If you keep the lights under 6000k you will totaly fine. My friend's with 8-10000k haven't had any issues that I know of either.

PnP kits are junk. I don't care how good the quality of the parts are (and they're usually poor) - the quality of the light they put on the road is junk. Halogen housings simply CANNOT focus the light properly. Plain and simple.

HID Projector retrofit or go home. When someone shows me an HID kit with 8 years of daily use, then they'll have something to talk about. That's over 3,000 ballast strikes and over 4,000 hours of use. That's what my retrofit with genuine Philips components have on them.

I just recently purchased a set from UltimateHIDKit.com and my experience is terrible.

Cliff Note version:

1. They will not ship to any other address but Paypal confirmed. Even if you call them and verify your identity. Sometimes its not convenient to have things ship to your home when you work all day. They will not work with you on changing that fact.

2. The box that the kit came in was trashed. It was horribly dented, and pieces were missing from the cardboard. It looked like this was a returned/or warrantied kit.

3. Both ballasts arrived DOA. Ive contact them and is still working on trying to get these replaced. So far i have to wait for a manager to Ok the replacement. Really? you need a manager to OK it? isnt it standard policy to replace defective/DOA parts? Who doesnt do that?

4. FYI: their warranty is bs. Here's their official stance on it:
"On Jan 12, 2012, at 9:20 PM, Ultimate HID Kits <info@ultimatehidkits.com> wrote:

Hello Ken,

Thank you for your email and your detailed explanation.
I apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you.

Normally our warranty procedure involves the costumer sending back the defective parts to us for testing. Once the part is tested defective, we send the replacement part to the customer.
The customer is responsible for the shipping costs both ways. In your case, it seems that some parts were defective when you got them.

For DOA parts, we normally ship replacements free of charge."

So if you need to warranty anything (that isnt DOA), youre looking at 2 shipping charges. So you better hope you dont get a dud first time around. Also i'm probably looking at paying for shipping back. Its funny how they think their lack of Quality Control becomes extra shipping expense on my part. How is that even remotely my problem? I paid $150 for this kit, i expect it to work flawlessly within the warranty period, nothing less, nothing more.

If you value your money and time, stay away from this company. In fact, if you want HID kits, let me know. I found my original supplier and can offer a much better buying experience then these clowns. Cheaper too.

Review over.

Edited: i forgot to add that they kit they sold me is the same kit sold by Visionari. it even had the visionari warranty card in it. Its $40 from vvme.com. I feel ripped off.
