Default Turn signal / hazard fuse randomly blowing in 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid

The fuse for the turn signal and hazard circuit has blown 12 times in the last 5,988 miles.
  • Sometimes 500 miles will go by without the fuse blowing. Other times, the fuse will blow in 35 or so miles
  • 2006 Honda Civic 4-door sedan Hybrid
  • 74,513 miles at present
  • First fuse blew at 68,525 miles in September 2016 [5,988 miles ago]
  • New Bumblebee hybrid battery pack installed at 71,308 miles [2,783 miles after the fuses started blowing]
  • The car has had 2 front-end crashes. Previous owner ran into things on two occasions [destroyed the radiator, hood, and windshield. I’m not sure whether the fenders and bumper cover were destroyed.]
  • A mechanic told me that all four of the turn signal bulbs “are working.” I assume that he checked and confirmed that the turn signal filaments in those bulbs were working [the two-filament bulbs are for turn signal and parking light]
  • The mechanic drove the car over rough gravel roads and made left and right turns in attempt to cause the fuse to blow. Fuse didn’t blow
  • The mechanic pulled back the 2 front fender well covers and couldn’t see any damage to the wires
  • I’ve removed the 2 front turn signal bulbs and found no corrosion. Haven’t yet looked at rear bulbs
Any ideas or suggestions will really be appreciated. Thanks.
