these are the shrouds that i got. and thanks, i was kinda hopin that it would just attach on, but thats fine. and how much do u think it would cost if i take it somewhere to get it done, i dont really wanna take a chance in cutting the hole for the projectors since ive never done anything like this before and i just got the car.. do u think i can trust a shop to do it for me though, because most places dont do retrofits and i dun wanna take a risk, but i though since its not a very hard task it would be safe to let them do it..

Do your lights have a seperate bulb for the high beams or are they tied in to 1 bulb? The ballast is what powers up the bulbs and they all pretty much do the same exact thing. When you say you have Nissan ballast, are they gray circular shape? If so, those are good and should fit nicely under the hood of your car.

oh, the ballasts arent circular, they are like retangular.. =/
and another question. what if i want to put angel eyes on it too, do u think that would be a good idea? cause i figured i want as much light as possible up here, there are practically no street lights around the college i attend and i really cant see lol. i dun know where to get them or which ones would fit.. is there anywhere i can find that out?

Angel eyes won't produce any extra light. They're there for pretty much just looks. You can get the angel eyes on ebay. I don't know which ones are good and which ones aren't since I don't really buy them. Only time I've put angel eyes in peoples lights is when they've purchased them and sent them to me.
Oh. Sorry for all these questions but I really don't know much about this stuff. Oh and. Does ballasts have like a lifespan, how long do ballasts last, or do they just last for a long time or what? I want to know if I would have to replace it or anything.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Ballast are just like any other type of electronics. They pretty much last as long as they want to. Some last for long periods of time and some don't. The ballast I have on my car are some of the old skol TL ballast that came out back in 99-00 or something like that, and I've had them on my car for about 5 years now with no problems. They're the first and only ballast I've had on my car.
Before you go spending alot of money on a retrofitter, here is what i recommend.
You need a sort of add-on shroud or as people call it Shroud extension to attach it to the reflector. What I'm trying to say is that you need some sort of Aluminum plate or range cover(home depot has them for $15). Cut it to fit the e46 bixenon shrouds and add rtv silicone to attach it to the e46 bixenon shrouds and then because they are one shroud now, you can attach that whole thing to your halogen reflector.
Avoid JBweld at all costs.

I never heard of shroud extensions or anything like that. can u show me a picture of what it looks like, most people just tell me that i need to attach it with silicon or something.. =? does the range cover that i can get in home depot have to be cut, and if yes i dont know how long or how wide i should get it.. =/

so prelude, how do u usually do it, just use silicon to attach the shrouds with the tsx projectors? or do u attach the shroud to the housing with silicon, i dun really understand how it works. and i duno if its a good idea to have silicon on the lens? =/
I always use silicone to attach the shrouds to the projectors. Here are pics of my work on a 5th Gen. Prelude

shroud extension like this:

There is an outer ring which in this case was an mdx shroud but it wouldnt cover the whole projector and there was no way to attach it to the back so there was a need for an extra shroud to extend the original one. That way it can be attached to the reflector.

the thing is that you CAN'T sit the projector too far back so the shroud could fit in there. You will lose some foreground and light will bounce off your bottom reflector and UP causing abit of glare. That's why when you retrofit lights, you adjust the projector as far out as possible(too too far of course) so foreground will be adjusted to be gained the most.

so ur saying the e46 shrouds would definately not completely cover the tsx projectors..? and if i get a extention, how wide should i get it..?
it depends how you mount them. Typically, e46 shrouds are pretty big that it covers most of the projectors but sometimes that isn't the case.
just do the retrofit and attach it with silicon to the projector.
If the projector still shows, then you can add an extension.
