Register: HIDPlanet Forums

It would also help to know what kind of car you are going to retrofit. Also what kind of headlight you are going to retro, OEM or aftermarket.

you said what?

all i see is BMW E46 in 94-01 headlight... what car?

The light color is based on what bulb you plan on running... 4300k is OEM and is the best choice, it outputs the whitest light, and gives you the best output. bluish is about the 6000k to 8000k. 12000k is purple ish and useless

Combine that with some good projectors, and you will be happy.

the bmw E46 is a bi-xenon i think, and based on what i've read at hidplanet, its not the best projector out there... the TL projector actually out performs it.

you really should register at HIDPlanet, because all your questions, even those you haven't asked, have already been answered there.

this is a diagram that was posted there: http://img.photobucket.com/alb...g.jpg

I dunno what your oem projector size is.. but what you are thinking of doing has been done before.. just look for it...

here is another site: http://faqlight.carpassion.info/

You can fit TSX projectors in your car.. That blue you see is the cutoff line. Just a color the projectors make because of the cutoff shield cutting the beam pattern. So you can only see the blue at the cutoff line.

The answer is yes, the e46 projectors will fit in a 94 Integra headlight; those are the projectors I'm using in my Integra. They come in both bi-xenon and regular varieties.

I don't blame you about registering at websites; it's a pain in the *** to have to register just to go read a few things. It's just like those stupid newspaper sites like nytimes.com which want you to register just to read some article that someone sends you a link to. It also sucks because it keeps Google from spidering the site and making all the information available from a google search. I can understand requiring people to register in order to post messages of course, but requiring it just for reading is lame.

As for whether the e46 is "better" or "worse" than other projectors is probably subjective. Many people seem to like the TSX projectors better. I can't really say either way, but from my reading it seems like some people are more interested in what kind of colors they can get at the cut-off line than what kind of actual usable light output they get for seeing the road, so be aware of this when people say one projector is "better" than another. Your criteria for "better" may be different from theirs. Regardless of all this, the e46 might be more easily or cheaply available on places like Ebay; so cost may also be a factor.

If you're using the e46 bixenon projectors, be warned you'll need a special circuit to trigger the solenoid, because it uses 3 wires instead of two. There's a circuit diagram on HIDplanet showing how to use a relay and some resistors and capacitors and diodes to do this properly, or you can buy quarter-sized circuit boards on my website that do the same thing which are very easy to install.

TSX is better than E46 when you're talking about output.. here..look at this to compare..

The left projector is the TSX projectors in the housing.. and The right is E46 outside of the housing.

The tsx is just more crisp and has a sharper cutoff. Keep in mind, that one the projector is in the housing, the lense flute the light output a bit, but the TSX still outperforms the E46. IMO, save your mula for the TSX. You might as well

isn't the tsx projector cheaper than the e46 projector???

thing is the tsx is a single beam... if he wants bi-xenon.. he should save up for a TL projector and a clear ZKW lense

VTEC... to answer your question.. yes it would.. my friend did it but theres a slight problem due to that its way bigger than the origianal housing in the back.. your going to have to find some way to block the back so that it prevents from fogging up

no, e46 is cheaper. It's **** to me.

Tl projectors, I dont know if it'll fit. Not sure. Anyways. TL projectors are 200, give or take 20 bucks. ZKW lense go for 300. Got a lot of saving to do.
