Default mechanical hid kit

i seen a mechanical hid conversion kit online and i was wondering if this type of hid kit would keep the glare for other drivers down without having to do a whole hid retrofit.

None really. I am intested in this mechanical hid kit, do you have a link for the site?

The DDM tuning kit, which I have is not nearly as bad as most kits. This is due to the large sheild that they have.

ddm for the win...i have had two kits, no issues so far. i have 8 friends who have ddm all differnet types (35w, 55w, slim ballast, apexcone big ballast, and anywhere between 3k and 8k) and all have been great! not much glare, due to the sheild

I still don't get how they are mechanical.

I am happy to see they at least have a shield on the bulb, and a pretty large one at that. Most H4 kit's have a tiny sliver of a shield that does next to nothing.

I have no experience with these lights so I cannot say if they are bad or not. I have DDM tuning which cost half as much, have a lifetime warranty. I would not mess with that kit. But that is just me.

Do you guys have the hi lo kit? and do you any pictures from inside the car? im interesting in seeing how well the shields work on these DDM tuning kits. Im looking for a 9004 hid kit most importantly with a lot of light output but i don't want to blind on coming traffic. And im not going to do a full retrofit. Im hoping that i can find a hid kit that will work before having to put extra driving lights on my car.

well if your looking for a sexy cut-off line, you will NEED to retrofit projectors in your housings...factory housings scatter the light poorly, and yes, i have a hi/lo kit. and no its not a halogen high beam.

9004 likely will not have that large of a shield.

I have only seen them on H4/9003. I may be wrong though.
