LED undercar??
alrite.i just bought a led under for my da.i just need some help to put them on.so i would need to hook up a 12v fuse wire to battery and ground the neg to the chassis rite.?the light tubes everything will be mounted..thank for your help.
Also, to be legal, make certain that the LEDs themselves are not visible from the side of the car. Of course, you'll still probably get a ticket even if they aren't, but at least you can argue that one with a judge when that happens. Also, red and white are specifically illegal, since you can't have red light visible at the front, nor white light visible at the rear.
Personally, I think the whole underglow thing should have died with the 90s. But thats just an opinion. Rock em if you like em.
What input did you need? I'll answer technical questions, even if I disagree with the usage.

Under the dash fusebox, tie into one of the connections that are active with the lights on (no point in running the underglow during the day). Make use of a fuse (calculate correct size based on LED specs). Consider running a separate switch as well in case you want to drive at night without them on.

cool..good enuff..i'm not worry about they bein illegal cus i see alot of this stuff on trucks suv and of course not gonna have them on during day light.to me leds or more like running light so i dont see whats the hassle all about.
Lighting laws for cars in California are easy. If it doesn't say you specifically can, you can't. (That's a summary of one of the laws.)
However, if the light source is not visible, then it's fair game, hence me stating to make certain they aren't directly visible. However, cops tend to ignore that and give out tickets anyway for underglow.
Doesn't matter how you or I would classify them, or consider them equivalent to, the law is very specific on such things. I'm simply a fan of pushing the limit of obeying the exact wording, but not the actual intent.
You should have known in advance that this subject requires a flame suit...
