Installing/Rigging visor wires
So I wanted lighted visors for my wife's Xterra and found tha 5th gen visors fit perfectly. So I bought some and installed. Fit like a nitrile glove.

So I haven't looked yet to see if there's a plug that I can just plug-n-play but I suspect not b/c I "fingered"
around the visor hole and nothing.
I need ideas on how to perhaps rigging something to make them light up if key is in the ignition or parking lights are on. Not sure if it requires a relay or if I can just splice into a line since I don't think it'll take enough juice to require another relay. Ideas, suggestions?

You'll probably have to run wires behind the dash and splice them in. I doubt you'll need a relay since these lights draw so little power. If you're worried about it, use a PnP LED since they only use between 20 and 50 mA.
Thanks Blazin. Wasn't 100% sure but needed another's input. Good idea on the PNP LED's though. I don't think I'll need them though. I was going the route of the dome lights... But it should turn on even though the domes are off since the little tab on the visors acts as an off-on switch for the flip mirror/light, right?
Yep, wiring them to the dome light should work fine. The little momentary switch inside the visor should keep the lights off whenever the flap is closed. The dome light probably has constant power, so the visor lights should work even when the key isn't in the ignition.
