Default HID Wattage Difference

What's the difference between say, a 30W kit compared to 50W kit?

Amount of power consumed.

....and they are supposed to be brighter. There isn't much need for even brighter lights because regular 35W HIDs produce more than enough light.

Agreed. 50W HID is for offroad use, when you don't have to worry about blinding others.
