I dont get how they can call their ballast "extreme" It doesnt make light output better. it just ignites the bulb.

or it could reflect a stronger ballast, resistant to the extreme conditions in our cars.... vibration, heat etc...

Re: xenondepot extreme HID kit??? (Rocks)
I wouldn't get it.
Considering they only come with 8,000K bulbs(RICE) and are so cheap; It's probably made in China or somewhere around.
Go get xenondepot's "Normal 4,300K" HID kit. Those are Philips parts which you can trust.
Remember 4,300K is brighter than 8,000K

Re: xenondepot extreme HID kit??? (Rocks)
I heard somewhere [I'm thinking dsmtuners.com] that phillips HID kits suck *****. is there anyway to install these lights into one piece projector headlights? I like the function of HID, and the fashion of the one-piece lights. It'd be cool to put them together.

i have phillips 6k kit, it looks nice, just liiiike the s2k. I wouldn't trust anything other than phillips, or hella. There the only two companies that put there products stock on some cars/suvs. They gotta be doing something right.

I have the same kit - from autolamps-online.com (also known as hid-online.com) came with philips ultinon bulbs (rated @ 6000k) I have personally compared them to a no-name 6000k kit & mine were significantly brighter - almost the same (brightness) if not the same as regular 4300k bulbs. Yes the philips ultinons ARE better than the no name - which is why you can't get ultinon bulbs for less than $250 a set IMO (bulbs ONLY)....all you guys that say ANY 6000k is rice I give you a untill you compare them to ultinons

6000k Ultinon bulbs are not as bright as 4,100K bulbs. Philips made the ultinon for those of who cares more about the look of HID than the actual light output. It's deamer and costs double.
Philips 4,100K - 3,200 Lumem
Phlilps 6,000K - 2,400 Lumem
*K is the color temperature and Lumen is the light brightness

Hope you know that S2000 uses 4,100K or 4,300K bulbs. It's the projectors giving that color not the bulbs.
