one of my hid's aren't working!!!!

it was working fine last night and now nothing
i am so mad

what could it be


i changed my head unit and it was like hardwired in cause this was in an 88 civic


anyone know
please help

 

well im sure its a egay peice of crap kit so its prolly time for a new one.
that or light bulb is dead or the ballest went out

 

Yeah, what kind of brand is it? If its one of those ebay generic ones, I wouldn't be surprised.

Stick with Xenon or some other popular name brand.. they have a 1-2 year warranty in case the bulbs burn out. I currently have Xenon HIDs for my car and they're still running perfect for 3 years and going.

 

Also if you say its one of the lights that aren't working, there most likely something wrong with the bulb and not the ballast.

 

Id check the wiring. Take apart and reconnect everything and you can take the ballast from the bad side and put it on the good side to confirm it works. Then do the same with the bulb to narrow down the issue. If you have a volt meter check the voltages on the bad side.
