HID bulb wire
I have a 99 Integra and received a HID kit a while back, on the wire that goes from the bulb to the ballast there was a piece of rubber going around it that the wires went through. I attempted to cut it and managed to cut the wires on the one bulb, rushing never got me anywhere faster. Anyways I went to hook it up anyways by twisting the wires together and the light turns on fine but after a good 15 seconds of light it flickers and goes out, turn the lights off and back on it does the same. Also I have switched ballasts and it yielded the same results on the other side. Now I am trying not to buy another bulb so would anyone think that if I soldered the wires together that the problem would be resolved or am I going to have to get a new bulb?
My question more specifically... If the wires happen to get cut on a HID bulb could it be repaired and reused or should it be replaced?
Thanks for the note on the grammar? Completely off subject...

if you're using an HID PNP kit, then there should a positive (usually red) and negative ( black) wire; if any of these are cut, just re-wire then back to the two wires that connect to the ballasts / ignitors. they should still work this way as long as you have not touched the actual bulbs in any way.
