Is it true that D2R hid bulb is the same as D2C?

D2C fits Both D2R & D2S, although D2R has an optical Shield.

What do you mean by an optical shield. Cause my friends car came standard with D2R and I ordered D2R 10K and I would up with D2C 10K. The cars a 2008, I don't wanna make any problems. Thanks Tommy

The D2C is an after market thing, it doesn't have the shield that prevents glare...

no OEM bulb goes to 10K, also why are you going to 10k?

doing so will only reduce the intensity of the light... and you are basically downgrading...

just go and buy real oem replacement bulbs, and save other drivers from glare...

You will notice that the D2R Bulb has the Optical Shield Vs. the D2S that doesn't.
D2R bulbs are used in Reflector HID housings
D2S bulbs are used in Projector HID housings

No, your vehical needs to be rewired to properly give the ballast the power it needs to run. Do to this fact we don't sell 55w ballast.

Why does it seems that when I watch videos of people installing hid kits there all come with a relay and get wired to the battery but mine has no relay and just gets wired into the factory harness.

Most aftermarket HID systems Draw more Amperage than your vehicle's harness is capable of handling. So these kits need relays to make the ballast work efficiently.
