Default headlights that turn themself off

first of let me say that i dont no anything about wiring but other then that im great with electronics such as computers . well im use to my gf lexus or my old evo that some times when i get outta my car(00 dc2) that i forget to turn my lights off. i dont always here the beep or take my keys out but im wondering how hard would it be to wire something up that when i take my keys out the lights turn off ?

a good automotive relay relay should do it. (40 amp prefered)
when you take the key out there is a signal that goes from ground to 12V.

relay connections:
86 - to key in switch (light blue wire from key switch)
85 - constant 12V
30 - one side of the headlight fuse in the under hood fuse box
87 - one side of fuse, other side of fuse connects to other side of fuse's original location in the fuse box

A simple female spade lugs will connect to the fuse box, and male lugs will slip into the fuse.

the problem, the park lights will still be on.
same has to be done for the 15A for parklights, but a fuse holder wil be required. A smaller relay can be used.

I entered "DEI 545T" into a search query on ebay and it just says that the module turns them on/off via a light sensor...doesn't really state any other features on there...I'm going to look on directed's website later on....

Added: lol, just looked right now anyway....I entered 545t and nite-lite into DEI's search query and NOTHING came up.. The modules I found on ebay are probably new old stock.
