Headlight Lens Repair Question
My headlight lenses on my wife’s 99 Altima are real dull & cloudy. I thought about replacing them but now I see that there are some restoration kits available. Has anybody tried anything like this? Does it really work? Here’s a couple I was looking at:

Go to autozone, buy a 3M restoration kit. The best thing out there. I have bought two packs of those. Head lights, and Tail lights. The Polish is almost show car finish.
just take the headlights to a body shop. they can can sand all the yellow hazy stuff off and clear them. then they will be good for another 5-6 years. any of the other polish kits will clean them up, but they will still need to be sealed or they will yellow and haze back within months. we usually charge between about 35-40 where i work if you take the lights out and bring them to us. so that give you an idea of price.
I have my own detailing business. I dont use the restoration kits. I actually just completed a DIY on headlight restoration using sandpaper. PM me if you'd like more information
Really? I did mine a few months ago(april), and they still look good. The 3M restoration kit comes with sandpaper, I don't remember the grit, but it gets finer. Then goes to a wet sanding, and a polishing.
Correct, the 3m does. But as far as I've seen, it's the only one. My reasoning for not using it is because I can choose my sandpaper. I usually go from 400 or 600 to 1000 and then 2000 from the fact that I can more easily remove deeper pits.
