Headlight fuses keep blowing??..
On my ej6 hatch, I have the fog lights tapped into the headlights. So when I turn on my headlights the fogs turn on as well. So I decided I wanted to put some aftermarket H4 bulbs that had a bluish white tint. After putting it on it would not turn on. I checked everything and soon found out the headlight fuses blew. Which are 10amp, So I replaced it, but the stock bulbs on and it was back to normal.
Just to confirm diagnosis, I put back the aftermarket bulb turned it on and checked the fuse. Sure enough the fuse blew again, so I knew it was the bulb. So I ended up putting the stock back and put new fuses again, and its back to normal. Is there a way of still using the aftermarket bulbs? It's still brand new, they looked nice for a few seconds when they were on. Could I maybe put in a different fuse? Rather then a 10amp maybe 15 or 20amp in its place? I presume something stronger that could withstand the amount of lighting?

Big problem here...
if the fog lights are being powered by the same circuit as the headlight lowbeams or highbeams...
you are overloading the cirucit.
Foglights are normally 55w, your H4 low beam is 55w thats a total of 110w
110W on a 12V dc system is about 10amps, then there is other things to consider, like how good your connection is, other loads on the system, and stuff like that.
Aftermarket blueish bulbs are normally higher wattage.... like 60w - 100w, so you really are straining the system..
REWIRE YOUR FOGLIGHTS! or risk melted harnesses...

don't ever replace a fuse with a higher rated one... you risk electrical fire...

I've been wanting to rewire it, cause I had bought the car like that. And I'm finding it a bit difficult in how to wire it seperately to a fog light switch. And I know for sure the foglights I'm using are the replica JDM.

instead the switch... just power the relay's coil with your interior light output...
this will turn on the fog lights whenever the parking lights are on.
Is it possible to just take the power from the fog lights. And tap it into one of the wires under the dash? Rather then having it tapped into one of the headlights, which is how I currently have it.
