ok i have searched and decided against the PNP hid kit and to go with a quality halogen bulb for my ek.

now i was wondering how the piaa extreme white plus compares to the philips hi-output bulbs or the orsam's.

also where a good place to get them from.

thanks for any help

Philips Xtreme Power or Osram Nightbreakers will DESTROY piaa bulbs, and also have MUCH less glare than piaa bulbs.

I'm sure the PIAA bulbs are coated, high wattage bulbs, which puts a much higher strain on your electrical system, the headlight switch, wiring and connectors, and also generates a ton more heat which is not good for the connectors or the headlight housing. The coated bulb also creates more glare to you and other drivers.

The Philips and Osram bulbs draw the same amount of current as stock, so there is no increased strain on the electrical system or other components.

Tinted bulbs really suck at output, especially in the rain.
