Default Foglights stay on with ignition

I have 92 eg cx, i picked up the car about 3 weeks ago with some HID kit, OEM style fogs but there isnt a foglight switch.

The foglights are wired up to the point that they stay on whenever the key is in the ACC position...and of course when its running. If i turn the headlights on or off, the fogs stay on.

I guess i was trying to find a wiring diagram to hook up OEM style fogs.

Also, the fogs are hooked up to my keyless entry/alarm, so they flash once for lock, twice for unlock.

check the fuse box and see what plug if any the fog wire is in, that could be all it is

Do the parking lights flash with the alarm? Do the parking lights also stay on all the time when key is on?

Sounds like the fogs are wired to an accessory power source instead of wired the proper way.

I have aftermarket fogs that are wired to only work if my parking lights are on. That way I don't accidentally leave them on. They are powered by the battery, but use a relay to only allow power if the parking lights are on. But then if I leave the interior fog switch turned on, the fogs will flash with the parking lights when I arm or disarm the alarm.

when i hit the unlock/lock button on my remote, the fogs flash once for lock, twice for unlock. NO other lights illuminate. WHen i turn on the car, only the fogs are on, nothing else.

odd, so that means the fogs are wired to an accessory-switched power source on the car (such as the radio or cig lighter circuit) and then the alarm parking light output is also wired to the fogs. I would try to trace the wires from the lights and see if they end up connected to something on or near the under-dash fuse box.

Its not really that big of a deal honestly...but i've always hated seeing people drive around with either their headlights or fogs on during the day, when its sunny outside. You know, trying to "bling", if they got HID's or fogs in general.

This car came with a HID kit by the way, haha. light dissipation sucks *****, i want some of those denji projectors

Denji projectors suck man, they're made for use with H3 bulbs which are foglight bulbs. Light output pattern is horrible. The only thing they're good for is to rip out the projectors and put in an HID projector. But space is very limited so you'd have to go with a very small projector like one from Valeo.

I've read all your opinions on HID kits, and also the camber kits haha. But i dont necessarily agree with you about the HID kits being crappy.

Mine serves me well, the light dissipation isnt horizontal like real HID's with projectors. But with mine, i dont have any dark spots and i dont live near areas with pitch black roads where i might need something like that.

On the other hand, i do want to retro fit something!
