Default Foglight trouble

I have a 99-00 OEM replica fog lights. The problem is that sometimes the passenger side fog light doesn't work. Then if I turn them off and turn it back on, the drivers side fog light won't work. It's completely random, but they never both turn on... Anyone know what could cause this? I knew I should of bought OEM...

Thanks for any help!

First I would check all the connections in the fog lights and the grounds.

I doubt it has anything to do with the fake fog lights. My girlfriend has fake fogs and she has never had a problem like this.
On my OEM fogs, the driver side tends to not wanna turn on unless kicked. I checked all the connections and even opened up. Its working fine now for some reason.

I believe you have a defective relay. You can get a new one for like $7.99 at Pep Boys.

Haven't been able to get a new relay yet, but as soon as I do I'll let you know if that fixed it.

Edit: I'm also having trouble finding a relay like the one that came in my kit.

Well I called the Honda dealer today to get a OEM fog light relay. They told me that they need a part number for it and that they couldn't look it up. But since I don't have the OEM relay I don't have the part number for it. I tried searching but haven't been able to find anything. Anyone know the part number for the OEM fog light relay for a 2000 Civic?

1999 and 2000 don't list a fog light relay part number for Civics.

I checked 1998 though, and there is a part number. I would imagine it could be the same (they use some of the same parts for the fog lights).

RELAY ASSY., POWER (4P)
39797-SE0-004

You could always bring in your relay and ask them to match it up at Autozone. It's cheaper and if it doesn't work they'll take it back with the receipt.

I would suspect a grounding issue in the fog light housing itself. I experienced this with DEPO replica foglights too and have heard many confirm having the same issue.
