I replaced the OEM style ebay foglights on my EG with another set off of ebay anyway I used the harness that was on the car & never had any problems with ones that used to be on the car and I didnt have any problems with these for a week. Well the relay got wet and fried so I replaced with another and now everytime I turn the lights on they blow the 30amp inline fuse on the wiring harness. I have checked everything I know to check grounds, switches, fuses, harnesses, I dont know what else to check can anyone think of anything that can help fix my foglights!!!!! I have tried to different relays and nothing changes!!!
AND IF YOUR GONNA HATE BECAUSE I BOUGHT EBAY FOGS DONT BOTHER LEAVING YOUR 2 CENTS.
dont know if it will make a difference but i went from EG fogs to EK fogs

What is the wattage of the bulbs?
also do you have a mulitmeter?
so you can actually measure the amps being drawn b4 the fuse blows...
or the voltage...
lower voltage with more work to be done, more amps...

it was tucked down inside the bumper (ima dumass) now its in the engine bay tucked away to keep from gettin wet. But its ok I looked at it today.
I would say it worked but thats when the fuses started blowin! I have tried 2 different new relays nuthin changes

only thing i can come up with...
is that when the relay is turned on, its grounding the switched positive lead.
this creates a short, and blows the fuse...
with a multimeter, make sure that the positive wire to the bulbs and the ground wire have no continuity, if they do.. then there is a short in the wire...
also, your diagram shows that the relay shares a ground with the foglights...
personally, i think the relay should be grounded separately from the foglights, but it shouldn't make a difference.

if its the switch... you mean the in dash switch?
the in dash switch shouldn't be able to blow that fuse...
imo, rewire the ground from terminal 86 or 85 on the relay...
instead of it sharing a ground with the lights, ground it to the chassis earlier... this "separates" the circuits...
on the relay, the battery should be wired to terminal 30 and the lights to 87

and retest the light's + and ground for continuity...
for some odd reason.. i think the lights are trying to ground itself through the relay's coil... if you separate them, they will only have one ground... and thats the chassis ground.

the interior switch is grounded inside the cabin, under the dash... then a positive line comes from it, through the firewall, into the engine bay... and goes to the relay's coil... so its already separated...
i'm saying separate the lightbulb's ground from the relay's ground.
