Default em2 headlight issue

My headlight on my car was replaced by the previous owner. But where the wire connects to the bulb keeps falling out. I tried attaching a piece of coat hanger to the rubber gasket to try and hold it in place, but it still pops out. Anyone else have this issue or no how to fix it? It's an 03 Em2

Thats the plug and my wire that is kind of holding it on (dont worry its not touching anything so its not going to short it. Its almost as if the connection has gotten loose over time.

That connector looks melted/rigged. You need a new one. It should look like this:

'02 EM2, right headlight

I realize our photos are of opposite headlights (you left, me right) but the connectors (not the wire colors) should look the same.

You could slightly bend in one of the tabs on the back of the bulb for a tighter fit with the connector, but you really should replace the connector entirely. What does the right (passenger) side look like?

Yea I think it's been tampered with by the previous owner. I'll update after the weekend, away from the car right now. I think I'll try and salvage a new clip from the wreckers. But I'm just going to bend it for the time being.
thnx though

Update bending the clip seams to be holding for now...

No I didn't I listened to everyone's suggestions and I'm going to get new eibachs next year and get them done right. The springs I had turned out to be eibachs but they were pretty warn.
