Default brake lights dont work

Just as the title says, all brake lights stopped working one day and i cant figure out why. What ive done so far is new lights, new brake light switch and checked all the fuses. The lights are on when i turn all the lights on but nothing when i hit the brake pedal. Please help.

Edit: and this is for a 1992 civic hatchback si w/ cruise control.

yea i guess checking the wiring is the last thing i could do. If the wiring is good then is there any other option?

I would disconnect the brake light switch and jumper the two wires at the terminal and see if the brake lights come on.

well i got it fixed, and thanks for all the help guys. But it turned out to be the horn that caused it to short out. Weird i know but two of the horn wires touched and blew the horn fuse out and that caused the brake lights to not work. Thanks again for the help
