Default basic questions with hid

im doing a tsx retro into my integra. is it okay to use my stock shrouds and is it true that if you paint the shrouds place it reduces glare and increase output? and what is this clear lense thing people are talkin about?

and also what kind of bulbs should i get... is the phillips d2s 4300k 95122 the recommended one?

yes it's okay to use the current shrouds/reflector in your stock housings, and no, painting the housings will not reduce glare since you won't have any glare since you're doing a retrofit. Projectors reduce glare entirely since the light is more focused onto the street like it's suppose to be. What causes glare is the cheap *** PnP kits that people using on car that weren't designed to handle HIDs
