Just wondering what everyone with built K24's uses for tires on the street that actually hooks...somewhat.

i was going to go with MT ET streets but someone told me they wont last long.

Sticky tires don't last long. The softer the compound is, the faster it will wear. Do you want grip or do you want the tires to last a long time ??? Unfortunately, you cannot have both. The only formula to compromise is to increase sectional width and you can up the tread wear rating... essentially, more footprint with a slightly harder compound will net similar traction as a narrower tire with a soft tire. This choice also increases the possibility of tire rub on the body, inner frame, inner fenders and/or suspension. Fitting the tires can be a challenge.

i was thinking 225 50 15's. around 300hp setup in eg hatch. i dont drive it every day, just a few times a week to toy around in.

We use toyo R888 235/50/15 they work good on the street but becarefull on water they are dangerous...

At 300whp I ran 225/45/15 Toyo R1R's and they hooked very nice.. Very nice life on those and not badly priced
