Default Nitrous K20

I haven't been on here in years, nor have I had a Honda in years. But I'm curious if anyone has hit a k20 on the head with a fairly decent size hit of nitrous? Either off of a plate or fogger. How much can a stock motor hold on a kit? Thanks

In the same boat as you. Been gone a while, but i know this has been done extensively, unfortunately i don't know the thresholds. Interested in the feedback here as well. I happen to have plenty of K stuff and nitrous. I would like to put something together.

75-130 on a single fogger. 35 per cylinder if direct. There awesome.

I've seen a couple dynos/videos on the web and the one that stood out to me was a guy claiming he made 411whp on a 150 wet fogger shot! God only knows how true it is or if it held it for long. On the other hand these k motors are known to hold 400whp on a boosted application.

BUMP. Thanks for the responses. Like to hear some more feedback.

GoldieWang if that actually turns out to be true, that would be more what I'm looking to do. I'm wanting to build a purpose built weekend street/race car. Progressive/Nitrous/gutted eg hatch or something of the sort

Actually here is the turbo I will be using
TR3030R Mark III turbocharger - Cartridge & Cover

And if you decide to go with a turbo set up rather than nitrous I strongly recommend talking to "TheShodan" on here he's a turbo guru!

Bump. Going to go ahead and pull the trigger on doing a similar setup. Going to attempt to make this a dig car for the street and see if I can't get something working with a haltech setup on it also. Setting something like this up to 60' on the street should be interesting. I have a few ideas about trying those hydraulic style wheelie bars but any input on 150+ shot with a direct port setup and getting it to 60' is welcome.

I just tuned a bone stock k20a2 with 75 shot today in a 94 civic. 41 n20 jet, 23 fuel jet. the numbers are a little low because it's on a mustang dyno, and it was locked in awd mode (all 4 tires spinning and loaded) so the exhaust could face outdoors (shop is setup for mainly subarus and rwd cars). Yeah I could have tweaked a bit more top end out of it, but we all know how much is needed to dial a K to its finest via the tune.
should give a little insight though to those curious. vtec set to 5200, n2o active over 90% throttle and over 35mph (so it doesnt trigger in 1st gear) and from 5600-8000, 8200 rev limit.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. I suppose I'll throw some pistons/rods in the motor and see how strong the sleeves are. I'm going to spray as hard as I think it will take it. I understand that turbo K's are making a lot of hp on stock block but I garuntee the cylinder pressures with nitrous are going to hold me back.

well, turbo k20's are running 400+hp with completely stock block. theoretically same should hold true for juice as long as the tune is good enough. I don't know how well it can hold up to a single stage system for that power level though. coming on and off the bottle, and tip-in alterations, could be a little sketchy and inconsistent and very difficult to tune for properly.

using my above dyno chart as an example though, if I were to raise the jet size a little to get it to 260tq, then add a second stage around 6500 and some attention to detail and fine tweaking to maintain 260tq up to redline, that'd be 400hp

Iam going to assume its on concrete maybe some rubber on the road because it's a spot a lot of racing goes on. And your on slick. Buy a direct port wet kit from nos. the pro fogged kit. But feed nitrous to both sides of the nozzles put 80 shot jets in both. Witch is the smallest you can run.have iT tuned for the first stage to come on out the hole and the second to come on as soon as you go into third. Have two switchs for each stage so if you don't want to use the second stage you don't need to. I would go to the street you will be racing on. Do your burn out and have someone with on the laptop have them set two step starting at 5500rpm. Witch it may need to be put up to about 6500 I would guess. Maybe.not. Just keep doing 60 footers to it hooks and ***** and gets it. Yea no wheelie bars. Go get 1800 pound springs made and change them on your cool overs in the rear. It will hook.
