Re: K24z7 in a ek
Hey there im looking to do the same swap. I have a k24z7 that I acquired. I want to swap into a ek as well. I see that there is not many posts out there. Quick questions what other manual transmission fits with this engine?

I'm doing a K24 in an EK and I am using the EP3 trans, wire harness, and ECU(KPRO SOON). U will also need post mount bracket, Type-S oil pump kit, and I'm getting OEM axles but running 36mm hubs. If u get the RSX trans get that same harness and ECU if you can.

I might just put in a k20 from a 09 civic si and transmission. My buddy is parting out his car and selling me the engine and trans for $500. Are the 36mm hubs worth it? Post some pics if you can.

Wire harness will be tricky. It is the updated engine with the crank sensor on the flywheel end and the PCM housed in the engine compartment.
Could stick with the Z7 wire harness and PCM but you will need CAN to digital conversion for running the stock EG cluster. EVERYTHING went to CAN on the Z7.
Also Z7 uses a clutch and flywheel combo only found on the Z7 and not a lot of aftermarket support due to changes in mass setting a check engine light for misfires. Good news is Hondata works on the Z7 PCM and they have an option to disable misfire detection.
