Default K24a?

What is a K24a? No number just A. I bought it from Hmotors online. I ordered the k24a2 complete changeover and received k24a he said it was the equivalent to the a2. But it's stamped just k24a. Was looking it up and some people were saying there's a cheap k24a that only makes 160hp how can I tell if I have the good one? I read that the good one comes with red ivtec letters on the intake manifold cover but the motor didn't come with one he said he forgot to send it. Please help I need to find this out now so I can return it if it's the wrong one

And I'm definitely not trying to down on Hmotors online they had great service and got me my motors fast he told me before he sent it it was the equivalent to the a2 and that k24a was stamped on and made it very clear everything I was still gonna need and what I could and couldn't use as far as parts that comes with the motor. I just want to find out exactly what motor this is.

Remove the valve cover and inspect the cams and valvetrain. If you have three lobes on both cams, then it is a K24A2 engine. Steve is a stand up guy... If he sold you a TSX clone then I would bet money that is what you got.. Did you pay $1900 plus the ride or $850 plus the ride for it ???

Sorry, I missed the part where you said complete changeover... I was only pricing out the engine itself based on what is listed on the website. I suspect that you have the right combination based on the price that you paid. Pull the valve cover as I suggested before. Also, if the transmission is a 6 speed, that is another indication that you have the right stuff. Look for the reverse lockout solenoid on the top of the trans near the selector arms. You can also verify the 4 digit trans type here:
