Default K20a2 semi built drop in or stage2?

Hi. Got stucket 10years with B series and ended up with B20v and tuner2 cams, so time to move on

Built was good and power also, but dicidet to get K swap

So now i got
K20a2 stock motor
stock gearbox 4.7 with LSD
RSP intake manifold
70mm tb
4-1 header with megaphone
2.5 exhaust

100% im sure ill polish the head and get some RDX injectors

The main question is about camshafts. interested in drop in cams or stage2

my eyes is on Drag Cartel Drop In cams or trow some extra money and go with FD2 oem pistons, some springs and retainers and go with Drag Cartel 2.2

Whats your opinion?

Default Re: K20a2 semi built drop in or stage2?

i was in a similar predicament.. k20a2 with full bolt ons, rdx440cc rbc and streetune. was very fun and loved the reliability.

i was looking at kelford 179-A dropin cams noted to make up to 30whp or more in the right setup, as im sure Drag Cartel drop ins offer a similar hp increase.

It is subjective, although i went with FI i had the most fun with it when was allmotor and should have went with that camshaft upgrade i would have better feedback for you.

drop ins are little more cost effective rather than upgrading "stage" or lobe size will require other head/valve train work.

cheers
