k20a Swap
Hello to all friends, it's a pleasure to greet you from Lima, Peru. I currently have a Civic of the 97 coupe ej8 and I am doing a swap to k20a. Suddenly they are tired of questions like this but I would like to know two things: the first is how much horsepower I could win if I put it, header 4-2-1, straight pipe 3 ", CAI, Haltech, stage 2 or 3 camshafts, intake manifold skunk2, throttle body of 74 mm, exedy flywheel and clutch stage 2. the second question is: in a future that they would do if they want to reach 300 horsepower, they would put a turbocharger or they would do a k24 / k20a frankenstein. The car will use it for track day and to go out on weekends at night to look for a bit of adrenaline. Greetings very cordial, thank you very much dear friends. PS: does anyone know if Skunk2's Cold Air intake system for honda si 2006 to 2011 can be used for the swap if my chassis is the ej8.

Re: k20a Swap
I estimate around 220-240 HP at the wheels. It depends on your part choices. 300 wheel HP is easy to obtain with a turbo and should not require replacing pistons or rods or bottom-end parts. I do not know about the Skunk2 CAI, sorry.

If you haven't gotten the longblock yet, I'd recommend buying a K24A2 and the Type-R transmission separately with the 5.0 final drive.
K24A2 heads flow just as good as all K20s and are geared for more top end than the rest of the K24 family. K24A2 with intake, exhaust, and VTC gear is good for ~230WHP with stock internals, and ~190WTQ. It really can't be beat as the best N/A engine from Honda, in my opinion.
