It's been done plenty of times, there's lots of build threads with guys putting Ks into EK hatches, but I don't think I've seen one with an automatic in it. Didn't even know they made a K-series with an automatic trans

Doesn't make sense. Sure there's probably a market for it but it's a lot more fun to drive a car with that much power as a manual instead of an automatic, don't you agree?

Are manual swaps that much more than automatics?

My friend just converted to manual. Worth the money for sure!!! Will also need flywheel, clutch, pedal assembly, shift linkage, etc.

no actually 6 speed manuel trans are way cheap depending on your engine if it's comes automatic then it cost more to convert your trans but if it comes stock with 6 speed then it cost WAY!!!! more to convert it to an automatic yea you can have an automatic k20 if you put a 07 CRV trans witch is an k24 automatic so yea

This is not going to happen, period. Automatic B-series swaps in EKs haven't even been perfected yet, they've been done but 99.9% of them don't work right, not only that but theres no aftermarket support for mounts. If you want a K20 swap then go find yourself a 6 speed tranny and shifter/shifter cables for it. If your car is currently an automatic then swap it, its really not adding much to the swap to do a manual conversion at the same time IMO.

Re: k20 automatic swap in an ek (94EG8)
this has been done. i meet someone with a ek k20 swap that was automatic. he needed the auto since he loss his leg in iraq. took him a long time to build and was pretty costly but he was happy with the end product.
to be exact he had the type s engine mounted to tsx tranny internals that were inside of an ep3 case... and kpro ofcourse.
i still have the guys number and if you really want i can find out where he has his build posted online.
