I have a 2006 Honda Accord, K24A8 Engine type.
Since i bought this amazing car in 2013 and i had a problem of Ticking Noise when i start driving, i hear it like metal ticking on each other, or to be more clear: exactly the same voice of Valves Ticking.
I started a thread here then, i was advised to check the Valve Clearance and i did, and i adjusted it and the noise still on.
I changed: Belt Pulley, Catalatyc Converter, AC Clutch bearing and no change.
Finally, my mechanic said it is the engine, and we have to replace it.
I found a K24A4 Engine, clean and low mileage, we did the swap, and the Noise remained with no change!
I got almost crazy, what more left to be done?
We did like the doctors do, we brought The Heart and Chest Hearing tool and i let the Mechanic hear it on the engine while pressing Gas and Brake on D mode, he finally said: Seems to me i hear it from the Exhaust Manifold.
He had one in his Junk Yard, we changed it in 10 minutes, and finally the Noise has gone!
It was the Exhaust Manifold, could be be cracked or burned heavily from inside, i don't know, what is important to know now, that IT was the Noise source.
So guys, i wanted to share this information and the 5 years experience with you, in case someone had it, or will has it in the future.

Note: I have returned my K24A8 engine of course

As another experience, the difference between K24A4 and K24A8 is that the A8 is less Engine noise, while the A4 is heard inside the cabin even when windows closed.
