Two old Honda's
Every neighborhood has that house.. you know, that one. Backyard filled with parts and part cars, front yard filled with current and recent projects, drip pans sprawled across the side of the house, trash can overflowing with packages from new to them car parts.
... it's me... that's my house.
Anyways,
I'm a corvette guy, raised by a hot rod guy. I never thought I'd be into Honda's. Many months ago I purchased an F20B swapped EK hatch and I was way to eager get my new project started for a cool daily, well as you can assume (as these things usually go) I got hustled. Months later I met an old Marine vet down the street with a love for Honda's, EF's and CRX's to be exact. I parted out the EK hatch and recovered my financial losses, and bought his two CRX's, both of which are Si's.
The Green Turd:
This car taught me the most, it was my first ever engine swap. Into this 250,XXX mile, dented, tired, rusted chassis I put a B18C1 paired with a YS1 cable tranny (with LSD). The car was a short lived, but it was a hoot. Nimble and light, it was the essence of the word 'zippy'.
The Race Car:
This one is interesting, it had a turbo GSR setup. It was a dedicated drag car, and apparently tuned by PFI Speed. It has a fuel cell, 4 point roll cage, AEM Series 2 EMS, drag pak with M/T's, and gobs of carbon fiber to compliment the gutted interior. The body is pristine, no rust, no damage. While the paint is lackluster I believe a good detail will bring it back to life, and the K24a2 heart transplant will back up its good looks.
I sort of fell off with content on The Green Turd through frustration of cheap parts and fixing a subpar standard of work, but the black CRX is going to get what it deserves. I plan to post a slew of content over my swap and that car.
