Default tjflowe

Name is TJ, I am a 30 year old single mom. I have a 1993 Honda Accord LX with about 230,000 miles on it. I love my car. The issue I am having is about a week ago my D3 light cut on while I was in D4 and driving. When the light cut on my car made a huge clunk sound and cut off on me. It has since cranked fine and drives fine. The only problem is, when I crank my car the D4 light and the P light are lit up for several seconds sometimes even a minute then I hear a click and it cuts off and the car runs fine. Any idea what it going on or what I can do to find out what the issue is or to fix the problem. I've had people tell me it's nothing, I have had people say possible TCC solenoid and some say TCU is bad. I am afraid to drive it and have it cut off on me again. HELP please.

You can short the the service connector and pull codes, I think that is true for TCU codes as well which is what I believe the D4/P light is about.

It sounds to me like you've pushed the automatic transmission to death without proper fluid changes.

It's hard to say if it can be revitalized with a magnefine filter added and the 3 drain and fill fluid change method.

You can see how I added the filter to my wife's 93 DX autotragic here:
