Well. I joined here a few years back when i bought my first integra... then have been back with a few other integras i bought over the years. But NOW I finally bought myself a genuine HONDA! And were off to a slow start.

I purchased a 95 civic ex with the d16z6. and the owner warned me about a mild taping in the engine. which i was ok with. well 10 min after i leave his house it turns into a very loud knock.

so with no other choice i drove it the rest of the 1hr trip home.

now i pulled the oil pan and number 1 cylinders rod bearing is laying in the bottom of the pan.

and the crank is messed up

so im not sure if i should build this motor now that its ruined or i found another on CL with 83k for 500$
