hey guys me and a friend r currently rebuilding my car its a 00 civic dx and I want to take my time to built it right and not cut roads im reading as I go but feel that im having doubts at time currently my thermal stat went bad and now my car is shooting white smoke and the temperature goes to hot and drops to the middle like nothing and I believe my head gasket might be bad I want to know is it better I buy another stock motor take better care of that one and rebuilt it or rebuilt my d series I have also my radiator has a chip at the corner like about half a penny side I want to know if that will harm my car or itl be ok please let me know some tips thanks
