Default New to this :T

Hello everyone!

I'm not the best at introductions, but I'm vectorsix. I'm from a small town in Louisiana, and I'm sort of new to owning a honda (even though I don't quite own one yet...) I'm here to learn more about Hondas, find a model preferably first, get some upgrades and maybe even make some friends in the process.

From a new Honda owner to a potential one, a good choice is the 7th gen Accords. I just bought a 2005 EX-L Coupe with the 2.4L, from what I looked up and my friends with Hondas gave me feedback on, they're pretty much bulletproof, great on gas and there's a nice amount of aftermarket to tinker with if you want to go that way.

Just putting that out there for ya.

3100lbs isn't exactly "heavy", but okay.

Aren't you quite the ********. Excuse me for offering what I know. I didn't realize that something over 3,000lbs all of a sudden means its crap. Cool story bro, how about you learn how to type if you're going to undermine me?

I always understood the civic as the "forefather" of the mod world and has multiple aftermarket dealers for even just one part. I planned to look for something along the lines of a 93-98 civic HX or EX coupe but where I'm from the only thing readily available is at the wrecker yards. Granted thy are in good to fair condition but are missing whole engines, transmissions and radiators, now where I'd be ok with picking one up, I don't know the first thing about buying a scrapped vehicle. I'm not one to settle because I'd like to have a legitimate title for the car.

I used to own a 91 prelude si 2.1 but after finding out about the damage and salvage title that it was, I had to set aside my dream of a project car for a couple years.

I appreciate the suggestion of the accord, but I'd have to decline because I'm not really a fan of a car that mostly was sold as sedans. I don't like sedans.

Ah. Well, you didn't say what exactly you were looking for. No worries, the fact that you were respectful like that, I appreciate that. But hey, I like the look of sedans ironically, so it's kinda funny that I bought a coupe.

Good luck with your find, though. =]

ya bro go for the coupes or lightest model civics because that will impact alot with that ever you choose to swap in or mod.for example the crx thats the lightest chassis civic ever made it would be alot easier to make that fast for example the b18b1 motor from an integra. an integra with the b18b1 is not that slow but you swap it in a crx and its going t be fast because of the power to weight ratio. so ya i would get one of the lightest civics eg's are good too same with efs then upgrade it and you''ll go fast thats the main reason why everyone loves hondas.they last a long time they save gas and they can be fast.
