Default New Old Guy.....

Looking for a source to do some upgrading to my son's first car. We just picked him up a '92 Prelude S with 80K original miles. Car doesn't have a ding or a scratch and the interior is near perfect. Should be a good base to start with. Im gonna be pickin everyone's brains for the best way to mod it. Not looking for anything extreme. Just want a bit more power. I had a '02 CL type S for a while and would love to get something that runs 85% of that. Not sure if that means boosting or a swap but im open to suggestions. I have been wrenching for many years but never got into the imports much.

Can you say Dull....

I'm pretty new to big block Hondas, have a G23 franken mostly completed but if I was to do it over would prob get a jdm h23a vtec. Either way getting the dual cam head in your Prelude would be a very cost effective way to get a substantial increase in power w/out resorting to turbo systems or weird and spendy single cam parts. Having said that I think an f23 with nippon k20 pistons would be a lot of fun if a decent cam and springs were sourced- really impressed w those motors after tearing in to a few.
