Hey guys, I have a 03 Honda accord ex. Its a 4 cylinder with the K24A4 motor with 199k miles about to hit the 200k mark. It still runs great except for the fact that the car is slow and just doesn't perform like a ivtec K24 motor should. I know the motor has alot of miles and i havent done anything to the motor other than the normal routine maintenance but I was just wanting to figure out a good cheap way I could get my motor to respond the way it should. What maintenance has been done?

 

Well nothing really lol obviously just oil change every 3k miles. I plan to change timing belt soon

 

Just fyi, your 03 has a timing chain, not a belt. Spark plugs and air filter is a good place to start.

 

Yea meant chain, and I actually have changed my spark plugs about a year and a half ago and I have a auto zone spectre intake that has maybe a year on it
