I can't give it up !
I can't give it up ! I LOVE my 2008 Civic LX Sedan with the manual transmission 179K miles so much no matter what new Civic I test drive is not as good and exciting as my 2008
My 2008 Civic is a "R" Title rear end collision but repaired you can't tell except the gaps on the trunk lid are off. Everything is original - only parts were one CV shaft, starter, battery and muffler.
I want a new Civic, I have the money, I can afford it but I just can't give up my 2008 Civic. Test driving a brand new Civic felt artificial like I couldn't "feel" the car like it was driving itself and I wasn't in control like I was the passenger and the CVT transmission sickened me.
I mean I deserve a new car, I can afford it but nothing out there excites me as much as I own now, my friends and family make fun of me cause they all drive new cars and I drive a 2008 Civic. To make it worse when I go to a Honda Dealer to trade it in on a new Civic they insult me by only offering me $500 trade-in price. I tell the salesman I LOVE my 2008 Civic sooo much it would take a lot more for me to part with it. They asked me how much do I want ? I tell them $14,000 they laugh and throw me out.
In the extreme cold weather keeping my Civic outside it starts up without any strange engine sounds, no knocking , tapping or grownning , my new Ram pickup with only 7000 miles bangs, knocks and tapps on start up, but my 1.8 engine is sooo quiet and smooth I can't even hear it running.
I am addicted to my 5 speed manual transmission, it's soon smooth shifting like butter even in 5th gear I have to give it gas to go downhill , even on the highway on a hill I can pass cars in 5th gear without downshifting. It has all the speed and power I could ever want. When I am driving on a twisty back road I get a smile on my face knowing it can handle a tight hairpin curve at full speed.
