How goes it?
Well I am finally able to say that I own a genuine Honda. And I LOVE it. Years and years ago I was into imports big time, had a 1993 ( I think) Mazda MX-6 that was a standard. Was a fun little puppy. Roughly the speed of a stock 2000ish Civic SI. Anyway, I switched over to American and had two Camaros during the past 8 years. I loved them, at first. Mainly I had a 97 Z28 for the past 7, then over time it became cumbersome. The interior went to hell fast, tranny going out on me, door handle stopped working, AC and heater non functional, fans don't kick on so had to wire a manual switch, the list goes on.
I inherited this Civic from the kind heart of my companies owner, it sat in his driveway for a year and half, driven a few times. I am not financially the best person, and he knew I needed a good car. So, he bought it from the owner (his old roommate) and gave it to me, and is simply deducting my payroll each week by $70 for the next two years when it will be paid off. Such a great guy. It literally turned my life around. I was always ALWAYS a stressed out person, when you drive a super beat up car and know that you can't afford a new one, every single day, it digs deep into you. Now I am a happy person and people have noticed.
Anyways, I am excited to introduce myself here and looking forward to the Honda community. I have a few plans for the car, maybe a small turbo even. I know it's costly to build a D16Y8 and it's better to save for a swap, but this baby is young. I'll throw a few bolt ons and a small turbo and call it a day.
That is all!
