Honda del sol
Morning all, so I've recently purchased my first honda, Del sol 95 plate, having a problem with the blower motor, so firstly the blower motor works fine on all 4 speeds, and I can hear and see the electronic motor moving the vents flaps inside the ducting, but barely getting any air coming out of any vents. The previous owner said the motor was seized when he bought it, he replaced it with a Toyota Yaris blower motor, exact same fitment. But I'm unsure if the motor is spinning backwards or maybe the blades on the plastic disc are facing the wrong way, totally puzzled by this. The car doesn't have air conditioning, Any help greatly appreciated before I strip out the dash!!!
You get almost no air in both “air from outside” and “recirculate” mode? You might be able to put a shop vac to work to confirm that the ducting is not blocked. If the shop vac can get air moving through the ducting easily, then the blower’s the problem. If not, then it’s a duct blockage problem. On the bright side, taking the dash apart was a lot easier than I expected.
