Hello! My name is Jeremy, and I have an 05 Civic LX. I bought it a couple of years ago cheap, and have been using it as a hobby car. By that, I mean that I have been driving it daily and fixing all the little stuff. I'm not modding it, I'm just working to make it a 100% good running factory, clean car and will eventually give it to my niece for a first car. It has 293K miles, and I'm trying to get it over 300K. I just pulled the engine and trans due to a bit of a shift flare problem and a bad head gasket. I replaced the head gasket, timing set, water pump, timing covers, and all the seals and gaskets on the top end of the motor, as well as the oil pan gasket and cleaned the throttle body and intake since I had it all out and apart. I rebuilt the transmission, cleaned everything up and put it all back together. The engine is great, no leaks now, runs great, sounds fantastic. The transmission is another story, which is why I'm here. I've done some searching, and I'll do some checking, but I'll probably be making another post really soon for some help with that!
