Just joined. I am learning SRS and general safety system in automotive and mechanical in general.

Particularly interested in the communication protocol between a Honda (TRW) SRS control mondule and the sensors on the sensor harness.

I have read of two consortiums (PSI5 and DSI) related to SRS as well CANbus. But what does the SRS Control module use to read the data from a sensor? Where would I find this information?

Please note that in no way am I changing the parts or in general dorking with the SRS system of a real car. This is a software testing exercise for me. As well as understanding the communication protocols used in general automotive applications.
