Default Hello From Connecticut

Hi Everyone: I have a 1999 Honda Prelude w/Autostick transmission. I originally signed on to see if anyone had the same problem I was having, but I did end up solving my problem on my own. Here's what it was....I couldn't get a clearance on one of the cylinder 3 intake valves. I was stumped because I've never had any trouble previously and have never encountered this before. Turns out the valve, where it seats to the cylinder head, was burning away do to a bad fuel/air mixture causing the valve to recede into the cylinder head. So, the more I drove it the worse it got. I decided to purchase a rebuilt complete cylinder head, gaskets, all belts, and water pump. Going out and buying the complete cylinder head will save you anywhere from $1000 to $1500 in labor costs if you don't do the work yourself and more if you do

Have a great one guys
