Hey, i had to wack the the two mounting/aligning sleeves/brackets onto my cylinder head to get them in, i used a hammer and wood to cushion the impact, i didnt wack too hard, but could i have cracked the cylinder head?

 

doubtful. You would see the crack but I really can't imagine that it would crack it.
