Hello guys My name is Nikodimos and I'm new to the forum and would like to introduce myself and share a few pictures of my 88 Civic DX Hatch. I purchased the car in 2009 when I was stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington form the original owner. When I picked it up it had around 193K miles but in very good condition and drove great. It came with the original owners manual including most of the service schedule paperwork which is amazing. The first owner really took care of it. When I left the service, I packed all my belongings in my baby and drove her to Atlanta, GA and she made it in one piece lol. When I got to Atlanta I drove the car for about a year and gave it to my younger brother. He used the car as his daily for a year and a half before the engine gave up and threw a rod and sat in my parents garage since 2014. I finally got the the time due to the pandemic and started working on it in this last December.
I had to get a new block, a crankshaft, and a couple piston rods and the block is currently in the machine shop. For now my goal for this car is get the engine up and running again but to keep it as original as possible with body work repair, a fresh paint, and new set of wheels and tires. In the near future I'm sure I will probably want to upgrade to a bigger motor.
Well guys I figured I should share this with you and sorry for the long post. Have fun and stay safe!
