Default Hello

I just found this forum and signed up.

I have a 1976 white Honda Civic which I bought new for $2,700. It is a four speed manual 1200cc engine. It is a hatchback. The engine is in fine shape, but the body rusted out about 20 years ago. Just by chance, I found a mint condition 1976 white Civic body -- without an engine! I got the body for $200, transferred my old engine, and I'm ready to go. I replaced the original clutch plate during the transfer, but despite 300,000+ miles it was in good shape. I don't know the exact mileage because the odometer died at about 200,000 miles. I change the oil every 2,000 miles.

I was in DC recently and went to the Transporation Mueum at the Smithsonian. Much to my surprise , they have a red 1977 Honda Civic CVCC hatchback on display!
